ABOUT
Another token of the Martyr-Fi narrative (It includes P'nut and Fred) to remember Tyke the Elephant.
She was a female African bush elephant captured as a baby and shipped to the United States, where She was brutalised and instilled fear upon during the training for the circus, and shot 87 times whilst on the streets of Honolulu, Hawaii. She died of her injuries. She was forgotten but she will have a special place in our hearts forever.

THE STORY
Tyke was a female African bush elephant captured as a baby in Mozambique in 1973 and shipped to the United States, where she became the property of the Hawthorn Corporation, a company specialising in supplying wild animals to circuses.
​
Her journey from a baby in the African bush to her death in amongst the hustle and bustle of a busy city, epitomises the suffering that we inflict upon individual animals due to our own greed and selfishness.
WE LOVE ELEPHANTS
We as a project will be supporting the elephants mistreated around the globe.
This will be the centre core value we take going forward with $TYKE.
